A program being developed by Pharos Production
Program in preparationHow to prepare for the Pharos technology scholarship
Use the preparation worksheet now. Follow the announced round rules when applications open.
You can organize an idea before a scholarship application round begins. This guide separates useful preparation from documents and submission steps that still need to be announced.
Check whether applications are openStart with your education route
Choose school, vocational, university or PhD research according to the qualification you are working toward. A bachelor's degree awarded by a technical college belongs with the university route; a recognized vocational diploma belongs with the vocational route.
Download the project planning worksheet
The worksheet gives you a place to record the problem, proposed approach, evidence and your own contribution. It also includes a doctoral research outline. It is a preparation resource, not an application form or a mandatory submission template.
Keep your preparation focused
Write a plain-language problem statement
Describe one situation and why the current approach falls short. Keep the scope small enough to explain.
Describe the proposed work
Identify what you would build, compare or investigate. Include the main technical choice and a possible alternative.
Plan the evidence
Choose a test, example or measurement that could support your conclusion. Record important limitations.
Document contributions and sources
Keep a record of collaborators, source material and tools. Note which parts of the work are your own.
Prepare records privately
The published round will specify required documents. You can locate basic information now without sending it to Pharos Production.
- The title and level of your education program.
- An outline of the project or research question.
- References for any material you use.
- For research planning, a cost outline and the relevant institution contact.
Do not upload identity documents, transcripts or guardian details during preparation. The application process is closed.
Keep a record of AI assistance
If you use AI while preparing an idea, note the tool and the task it helped with. Verify factual statements and references yourself. Keep an explanation of what you changed or checked.
The round rules will define permitted assistance and any required disclosure. This preparation advice does not establish the competition's AI policy.
Check the announced process before submitting
A live round will need a deadline, accepted file formats, a submission route and a way to confirm receipt. It will also need instructions for corrections, withdrawals and application status.
Those steps have not been announced. The application page is currently a closed-status page; completing the worksheet does not submit an application.

Accepted submission formats will be stated in the round rules. The downloadable text worksheet is provided for preparation and does not set a file-format requirement.
-
Can I check an application status now?
No applications are being accepted, so there is no applicant status to check. Use the application page to check whether a round has been announced.
