Program in preparation

Technology scholarship for high school and lyceum students

Turn a problem you notice at school or in your community into a clear technology idea.

The planned school track covers upper secondary education, including high school and lyceum students. You can begin with an explanation of a useful idea; the round announcement will confirm the required submission format.

Check whether applications are open

Which school route matches yours?

Upper secondary education prepares students for further study or work. It can include the final years of high school, a lyceum or sixth form, depending on the national education system.

  • High school students preparing for a school-leaving qualification.
  • Lyceum and other upper secondary students.
  • Sixth form students studying toward an upper secondary qualification.

Sixth form is different from sixth grade. The planned school route focuses on upper secondary education; final age and qualification requirements have not been announced.

Technology ideas you can explain

A more accessible lesson organizer

Sketch a tool that helps students find assignments without relying on a fast connection. Show how a student would use it and how you would check whether it saves time.

A useful community map

Design a way to find publicly available services or accessible routes. Explain how information would be checked and kept current.

An AI study aid with clear limits

Describe a study tool that identifies when it is uncertain. Compare its responses with a trusted learning resource and explain how a student could spot mistakes.

These are preparation examples, not prescribed competition tasks or past winning projects.

Build a short project outline

  1. Choose a problem you know

Write down a specific situation and who finds it difficult.

  2. Show your idea

Use a sketch, a simple flow or a written explanation. Include the main action a user would take.

  3. Explain how you would test it

Choose a small test or comparison that could show whether the idea helps.

  4. Keep track of your sources

Record the resources, tools and AI assistance you use while preparing.

For parents and guardians

The application process for learners under the age of legal adulthood needs clear consent and data requirements. Those requirements will be published with the round rules.

At this stage, use the worksheet privately. There is no need to send identity documents, school records or information about classmates to Pharos Production.

What the school-track announcement must confirm

Check the final age and enrollment requirements, permitted submission formats and the way educational costs are supported. A school name alone will not establish eligibility.

Scholarship questions

Answers about the planned scholarship and its preparation resources.

  • Can high school juniors prepare an idea?

Yes. The worksheet can be used to develop an idea before an application round exists.

Eligibility for a particular school year will be stated in the final rules.

  • Do I need a university offer?

The school route is planned around upper secondary education. Any requirement for admission or future enrollment will be stated in the round rules; no university offer needs to be submitted now.

  • Is a finished app required?

No submission requirement has been announced. A sketch or written outline is useful preparation, but it should not be treated as the final competition format.
