Key facts: Pharos Production has delivered 40+ React projects since 2015, including FinTech dashboards, healthcare portals and Web3 dApp interfaces. 15+ dedicated React engineers. Rated 5/5 on Clutch (101 reviews, 2026). Last reviewed: July 2026. Editorial policy.

How our React practice differs

Our React practice ships production-grade SPAs and design-system applications, not component-library demos. Senior engineers, TypeScript-first delivery and 40+ React projects shipped across FinTech, healthcare, Web3 and e-commerce since 2016. Stack covers React Server Components, Next.js App Router, Remix, Vite, Tanstack Query and Storybook design systems. We follow Core Web Vitals targets, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility from sprint one and validate against MDN platform standards. We do not ship class components, untyped JSX or unmaintained legacy in 2026 - codebases get migrated or rewritten with documented migration plans. We routinely advise clients NOT to use React when a static-site generator (Astro, 11ty, Next.js static export) wins on simpler deploys, lower TCO and better Lighthouse scores, and we say so before quoting. See our TypeScript services and front-end engineering.

React vs Angular vs Vue for enterprise projects

Factor React Angular / Vue
Learning curve Moderate - JSX + hooks pattern Angular: steep (TypeScript + RxJS + DI). Vue: gentle
Performance Virtual DOM, React Server Components, concurrent rendering Angular: change detection. Vue: reactivity system
Ecosystem Largest npm ecosystem, 200K+ packages Angular: opinionated built-in. Vue: growing ecosystem
Mobile React Native for iOS/Android from same codebase Angular: Ionic. Vue: no mature native solution
SSR/SSG Next.js (industry standard) Angular: Universal. Vue: Nuxt
Enterprise adoption Meta, Netflix, Airbnb, Uber, Shopify Angular: Google, Microsoft. Vue: Alibaba, GitLab
Hiring pool Largest front-end talent pool globally Angular: enterprise-heavy. Vue: growing but smaller

Pharos Production recommends React for projects requiring rich interactivity, real-time data, cross-platform mobile support or integration with Web3. Angular suits large enterprise teams with strict architectural conventions. Vue works well for smaller teams and rapid prototyping.

Limitations: React is not the best choice for simple static sites (use plain HTML or Astro), content-heavy blogs without interactivity (use Hugo or WordPress), applications requiring sub-10ms server response times (the virtual DOM adds overhead) or teams without JavaScript expertise. For CPU-intensive server-side computation, consider Go or Rust instead of React with Node.js.

What is React development?

React is an open-source JavaScript library created by Meta for building user interfaces through reusable component-based architecture. React powers the front end of Facebook, Instagram, Netflix, Airbnb and thousands of enterprise applications. React development includes single-page applications (SPAs), progressive web apps (PWAs), server-rendered applications with Next.js, mobile apps with React Native and complex dashboards with real-time data visualization. React uses a virtual DOM for performance, JSX for declarative UI composition and a rich ecosystem of state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Jotai) and UI frameworks (Material UI, Ant Design, Radix).

What we build with React

FinTech dashboards and trading platforms

Real-time data visualization with WebSocket feeds, interactive charts (D3.js, Recharts) and sub-second UI updates for payment dashboards, portfolio trackers and trading terminals.

Healthcare patient portals

HIPAA-aligned patient-facing applications with appointment scheduling, secure messaging, lab results display and telemedicine integration via WebRTC.

Web3 dApp front ends

E-commerce storefronts

High-performance product catalogs with server-side rendering (Next.js), dynamic filtering, cart management and payment gateway integration.

Enterprise admin panels

Complex CRUD interfaces with role-based access, data tables, form builders and workflow automation dashboards for internal business tools.

Real-time collaboration tools

Multi-user editors, project management boards and communication platforms with optimistic UI updates and conflict resolution.

React development cost range
React SPA development starts from $20,000-$40,000 for MVPs. Complex dashboards and enterprise portals range from $55,000-$210,000. Server-rendered applications with Next.js add 15-20% to the base cost due to infrastructure and caching complexity.
Key takeaways
  • React is the most widely adopted front-end library with 40%+ market share among professional developers (Stack Overflow Developer Survey 2025).
  • React Server Components and Next.js App Router enable hybrid rendering strategies that improve Core Web Vitals and SEO for content-heavy applications.
  • React Native allows teams to share 70-90% of business logic between web and mobile platforms, reducing development cost and time-to-market.
  • Pharos Production has delivered 40+ React projects across FinTech, healthcare, Web3 and enterprise verticals since 2016.
  • A React MVP typically takes 8-14 weeks and starts from $40,000 depending on complexity, integrations and real-time data requirements.
Limitations and considerations
  • Client-side rendering hurts SEO and initial load times unless you add SSR with Next.js - which increases infrastructure complexity and hosting costs significantly.
  • React re-renders entire component subtrees by default, causing performance issues in large lists and data-heavy dashboards unless you manually optimize with memo, useMemo and useCallback.
  • The ecosystem moves fast and introduces breaking changes - migrating from class components to hooks, then to Server Components, forces costly rewrites every 2-3 years.
  • React is a UI library, not a framework - you must choose and integrate your own routing, state management, form handling and data fetching, which leads to decision fatigue and inconsistent project structures across teams.

Key React terms 7

JSX
A JavaScript syntax extension used in React that lets developers write HTML-like markup directly inside JavaScript files, which is then transformed to React.createElement calls at build time.
Hooks
Functions introduced in React 16.8 such as useState and useEffect that let functional components access state, lifecycle behavior and context without writing class components.
Virtual DOM
An in-memory JavaScript representation of the UI tree that React maintains and diffs against the previous render to compute the minimal set of real DOM mutations needed.
Server components
A React architecture where components render exclusively on the server, sending serialized UI to the client without shipping their JavaScript, reducing bundle size and improving performance.
Reconciliation
React's diffing algorithm that compares the new virtual DOM tree with the previous one and determines which DOM nodes to create, update or remove on each re-render.
Props
Immutable data passed from a parent component to a child component in React, enabling the parent to control the child's output and behavior without shared mutable state.
Next.js
A React meta-framework that adds file-based routing, server-side rendering, static generation, API routes and edge middleware on top of React for production web applications.

Yes. We use React Native to build iOS and Android apps that share business logic with your React web application.

This reduces development cost by 30-50% compared to building native apps separately.
