  1. The Challenge: Making Multi-Chain Crypto Accessible for Everyday Users

    Most crypto wallets force users to choose between simplicity and capability – basic wallets support 1-2 chains while power-user wallets overwhelm newcomers with 50+ settings screens. PumpTap needed a wallet that supports 20+ EVM-compatible chains with one-tap network switching and gas estimation, yet gets first-time users from download to their first transaction in under 3 minutes. The security constraint: biometric authentication and hardware key support with zero unauthorized access incidents – non-negotiable for a platform handling 100,000+ daily transactions.

    The team aimed to:

    • Enable secure storage and transfer of crypto assets across multiple blockchains.
    • Provide real-time transaction status and balance updates.
    • Simplify interactions with decentralized applications.
    • Build a scalable foundation to support a growing user base.
  3. Our Engineering Approach

    We brought proven expertise in high-load Web3 systems and blockchain integrations. Our architecture streams blockchain events through Apache Kafka with Flink updating balances, transaction statuses and notifications in real time – so users always see current on-chain state without manual refreshes. We built a modular chain adapter system that integrates new networks and token standards rapidly, plus gas optimization through transaction batching and EIP-1559 fee prediction that reduces user costs by 15-30%.

    Apache Cassandra stores wallet metadata, user settings and historical activity at scale. Apache Pinot powers real-time analytics for transaction monitoring and system health. Redis serves as a low-latency cache for balances and session data. The entire platform runs on Kubernetes, using Istio for traffic management and is deployed on AWS to ensure security, scalability and high availability.
